“I feel like menswear has gotten to a point for me where it had to be thrown out the window and dragged back in,” the creativity-conscious designer J.W.Anderson, who is known for his unisex designs said backstage after his 2013 S/S menswear show,” There’s something that he's gone stale for a while in men’s, and I think you have to blow it up-then you've spawned a look.”

Just as clear as is shown on the 2013 s/s menswear runway shows, more so-called feminine elements, in particular, a variety of womenswear fabrics are added in a large scale. Designers tend to span menswear fabrics from the conventional butch canvas or twill to more “girly” voile, taffeta, or even the sheerest and clearest organza. Still, not focusing on creating a feminine or girlish mens look, masculine is turned more attention to in a shorter, tighter, or sheerer way.

ON THE WISHLIST  BLK DNM black and white leather jackets / ALEXANDER WANG Cutout silk-crepe and fishline top, shorts, sweatshirt, vest, and aline leather sandals / STELLA MCCARTNEY sheer plisse dress and black and white mesh sweater/ MAISON RABIH KAYROUZ sheer panel dress/ SKAIST-TAYLOR neon open-knit sweater / IRO  taylor cutout cotton t-shirt / JIMMY CHOO Mila cutout mirrored-leather pumps and Mogul studded suede cage sandals/ ALAÏA leather cutout bag

I have to admit the difficulty of interpreting these growing prevalent sheer pieces, for they can probably make a slim boy look either slutty or sissy. Thus, in order to put up a complete ensemble which is appropriate but somehow still much revealing the hot trend of see-through, I choose an alternative path of playing with patchwork. Dressing in a large scale of sheer fabric requires a well-built physical shape as well as great bravo, while patchwork, which is of a little bit of structure and creativity on sight, makes it more comfortable and refreshing to reveal the body. To be more specific, I put a leather vest with cut-out detail which is re-constructed from a oversize t-shirt on the sheer shirt to strike another balance.

First time ever in Shenzhen,MIDI Music Festival fell last week for three days from May.17 to May.19. As newcomers in music festivals, I, along with Fay, Will, and Water, was filled with enthusiasm about that.

I have to make it clear that we are definitely all RACKERS for real, since participating in a music festival is for us a kinda of leisure treasure.Pogo, geek shoulder bags, crazy scream, or day-to-night MIDI camping? I say NO! We say NO! The warm refreshing touch of the summer light, the soft and wild wind, and also the intoxicating air——that's ALL what it is! Though we had been mocking ourselves as true RACKERS rather than loyal rockers all the time, wandering around the grassland, dropping by on occasion for those outrageous and phenomenal bands, and spotting MIDI-exclusive snacks are honestly another forms of enjoying a music festival.

Weirdos as we are, still, none of us will deny the charm of of the band Chochukmo, an independent experimental rock band from Hong Kong. There is no doubt that Jan Curious, the vocal of the bans, rocked up the MIDI stage to be an irreplaceable highlight that day.Either exceptional or indispensable, there were probably no flattering words could be more appropriate than the powerful voice itself. Fortunately, we by chance made it to meet Jan at backstage and posed for the pictures with him.So damn amazing!
